Ideal for pergolas and as facade planting

The exceptional hardiness of CityFlor® roses makes them ideal for countless appealing plantings, especially in cities, for example in pedestrian zones, as roadside plantings or in public spaces. The unique CityFlor® varieties delight people with their lush blooms at swimming pools, churches, cemeteries or railroad stations. Sports and golf courses or clubs are given an inviting look by the pretty roses.

The pretty roses add an inviting touch to sports and golf courses or clubs. They can also be used in a variety of architectural applications, which many architects already appreciate.

The climbing roses

… of the CityFlor® range create unique pergolas, for example in the city and backyards of neighborhoods. People in the Mediterranean region have been using pergolas for thousands of years to create cool, shady and airy spaces. These secluded spots are pleasant and healthy places to spend time on hot days, especially if they have been upgraded with seating and a watering hole. Bird species such as blackbirds, greenfinches and wrens, as well as bees, butterflies and even small mammals find food and shelter. In this way, these facilities also contribute to the protection of endangered wildlife.

Green and blooming facades

…made by our attractive climbing roses – for example in combination with wild vines or evergreen honeysuckle – shade the outside walls of buildings. They dampen noise and cool the walls. According to studies, the perceived temperature is significantly lower than the actual temperature, partly because the surface temperature behind the plant growth is up to 20 percent lower. This prevents the storage heater effect, the building does not heat up as much and the interior temperature can even drop by up to 3 °C. In addition, the strong foliage of CityFlor® roses keeps out wind and heavy rainfall. When used as façade greenery, our roses also provide food and shelter for many useful animals.
